BIOGRAPHY
Blake Gettig received his Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in Mechanical Engineering in 2009. While earning his degree, he was heavily involved with the student chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers, as a part of both the Formula SAE and Formula Hybrid programs. During 2008 and 2009, Mr. Gettig helped develop the engine package that would propel Texas A&M's Formula Hybrid race car to an international victory. The team would score the highest amount of points ever awarded in either Formula SAE or Formula Hybrid history. Mr. Gettig is launching his professional career at Texas A&M University at Qatar working on an engine research project in collaboration with the main campus. Mr. Gettig's passion has always been automotive. Having worked on and modified them from a young age, cars were his main motivation to earn his engineering degree and to find employment in the industry.
